Hear the Sleigh Bells Jingle... Romance is in the air
A Very Special Michigan "Hidden Treasure" Romantic Getaway
Listen to the jingling bells and muffled hoof beats of the Percheron horses as they pull your sleigh through the forest over the sparkling white snow to view the elk on the resorts' preserve.
It's a quiet time, peaceful, cozy and romantic. Snuggle together under a warm blanket and let the gentle sway of the sleigh lull you and relax you. If you're lucky you might see an eagle over head or maybe you will hear the elk bugle before you see them. As you round the corner the elk are there in all their majesty for you to gaze upon.
After your sleigh pauses for a brief time for a picture session or just to marvel at the awesome sight before you it's on to the Elk Antler Log Cabin for dinner. The antiques and music coming from the jukebox combined with the warmth coming from the oversized fieldstone fireplace in the cabin combine to create the ambiance you expect of a log cabin on the banks of the Thunder Bay River; relaxed atmosphere, welcoming and warm. Your impression is reinforced when you realize that your dinner has been created by culinary artist Jan Matthias on the two antique wood cook stoves right before your eyes.
